To dream means to be ready at every moment
for that which is not yet dreamed,
and yet not become desperate
if there is no reality in our life.
There is no sense in dreaming
for that which already exists
or for that which is undesired.
Those whose dreams are weak
settle down for comfort or for violence;
those whose dreams are strong
see and cherish all signs of new hope
and are ready every moment
to help the dream
of that which is ready to be real.
